Half the summer was gone and his mom and dad left to fix up the new house, and he had the whole farm to himself. When he went over to Jane’s house her mother greeted him and said that Jane was gone to the beach for the rest of the summer on a very late notice. Jerry was disappointed, and lonely. When he was just about to jump in the lake later in the day, he had a strange feeling like someone was watching him. The footsteps finally stopped, walked down the hall and stopped at Jerry’s door. Jerry guested thirty minutes had passed and there was no sign that the person behind the door had left. All of a sudden there was a knock on the door. His heart was pounding. He was sure he had seen the doorknob turn. Then nothing happened, the person behind the door slowly walked down the hall and down the stairs, as they had come up. After five minutes, Jerry pulled all the things barricading the door out of the way, ran into the kitchen, took a knife as a weapon and met up with Sam who looked very different. His eyes were bloodshot like he hadn’t slept in a few days and he was looking at Jerry like a madman. Jerry was so scared at his appearance that he ran past him, Sam quickly following. Jerry jumped into the pond remembering how sam can’t swim. Surprisingly Sam jumped into the pond grabbing onto Jerry, both of them sinking to the bottom. Jerry fought to get to the top but, was going nowhere. By now Sam was biting and scratching at Jerry. Jerry quickly kicked Sam in the stomach making him let go, sending Jerry to the top.
