“Ahhh!” I said as I wake up to see the shining sun instead of hearing busses pass my house on its way to school.
It’s the first day of Winter Break and we are going to Brookfield, Wisconsin. This is going to be the best winter break ever!

Finally, we finished packing, Okay, I'll get all the luggage in the car, you guys make sure we didn't leave anything in the house and lock all the doors on your way out.” my dad says
“Woohoo!” yelled Noor.
“We're going to Wisconsin!!” sang Bahaa in a tune.

That morning, I wake up still sleepy and tired, I didn’t feel like I got enough sleep because of that scary nightmare, I barely ate my breakfast, yet I was very excited to see my friends again at the park as we agreed yesterday, so at 12:00 pm, I was at the park waiting for them and while I was waiting, I thought that I saw a shadow of a weird scary person, but it disappeared so quickly and just right then my friends came. We played, talked, had a lot of fun, and then Sofia said,
“Noor, you look pale; Are you sick?!” I was hesitant to tell them about my nightmare, I never told anyone except my mom, but then I decided to tell them about it, I trusted them, so I replied,
“There is something I would like to share with you, there’s this scary nightmare that I always see.” Then I started to describe it to them, that I see this shadow of a weird person and it’s not clear whether it’s a girl or a boy and it keeps saying apologize, Sofia and Nadia looked at each other with a big shock on their face and they both said at the same time…,
“Same!?”
“Ok, when did you start having these nightmares” I asked
“I think it started after we finished third grade.” Nadia

Every year on Thanksgiving break I have gone to my grandparents house to stay for the week. For me this is important because my grandparents live a good ways away and I barely get to see them. This became a tradition when I moved away from where they live because that's when our other traditions ended like on wednesdays we used to meet somewhere and eat dinner but we can’t do that any more so we thought that Thanksgiving break is a good time to go see them because we have off school and they can get off work. The whole time we are up there we laugh cook and have fun together.…

The anticipation for Thanksgiving break is over the top. The thought of home cooked meals, family, and no professors talking a student 's ear off for a week are heavenly. Of course all the classic thanksgiving things happen but there are also psychological things that go on. (Darn that psychology sneaking its way into everything, it obviously never goes on break.) Although psychology is used every minute of every day i 'm only going to talk about 5 concepts, persuasion, cognition, emotion, personality, and the self.…

I had a feeling in my gut, I did not smell the cinnamon rolls baking in the oven, the TV was blaring, and my parents bed was not made. I walk out into the living room to find my mom and dad glued to CNN news channel on the TV. It had been two weeks since my brother’s last shore leave on deployment, which means it had been two weeks since we have heard from him. The TV was flashing and the headlines were running across the screen.…

Fall break is a time for us as students to relieve ourselves from the stresses of school. It’s a time to be with family and friends and to enjoy delicious food. It can also be a time to reflect on how psychology is in everything we do. Our motives, actions, and feelings are all brought back to psychology. Over this break, I made note of a few instances that could easily relate to the science.…

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over. We get a few days off but the rest of the days are hitting the gym early in the mornings for two to three hours a day. The days I have is the best thing in the world because I get to relax and do something fun for once.…
