Trap shooting started for me in highschool when i join the team the only gun i could use was my dad's 25 year old remington 870 he used for deer hunting my parents couldn't afford to buy me a 3 thousand dollar gun like the other kids had all my friends had they shot browning O/U (over and under) or brettras real nice engraving glossed wood finished gold triggers and there i was with a pump shotgun that beat to shit from deer drives. My coach was named Mr Stungle and many of the kids on the team didn't like him are first practice we learned the basics of trap after that I knew this would be something I do for the rest of my life my first year of of trap I avagravd a 19 witch for a starting year is really good but for the big competitions …show more content…
one of the most asked questions i got was why don't you get a different gun i was still shooting my beat up 870 and i always said why would i this one works just fine and people would say how you need a better gun because this or that and I told them I would get a new gun when I get sponsored by a team my cenier year was my best year of trap yet I shot my first 75/75 during a meet and during competition at the end of the year I shot 99/100 at the end of these competition they had the award ceremony and they gave out the trophies and some kids got money scholarships but then they said my name and I got a $500 scholarship and I was shocked after that about 2 weeks I get a letter in the mail from Colorado state university offering me a full ride for trap shooting I could believe what I was reading I told my mom and she thought I was playing a joke on her but after sometime she finally Believe me from there I went to a meeting to talk about the scholarship and what had to be done I was told about the classes I had to take and what they would provide me with what I needed for shooting but a gun and I need to buy I new gun or I wouldn’t get the scholarship my parents said they would put 3 thousand dollars towards the gun as a graduation gift I have five thousand saved up so I started to look around then I found my dream gun a Browning 725 golden clays it’s $5,739.99 i drove to a gun shop to get it ordered for the season through college i was taking first and second place in
