You have to take what life throws at you and make the best out of it. My best friend told me about her job. She was working at Chuck E Cheese during this time. She did everything from being a party host, to wearing the Chuck E costume, and interacting with the kids. So one day, I decided I should look for a job and where should I apply. Kelli mentioned that Chuck E Cheese was looking for new employees. I wasn’t sure if she was joking or not so I reacted normally. “Really,” I asked “it didn’t seem like that on Sunday. ” That weekend, I had went to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday and Kelli was working. I needed a job; there is openings for a job; that’s a great place to start. That night when I got home, I talked to my parents about me getting a job and they were all for it. She went to get a manager and then I was asked if had filled out a paper application. I responded with “No I just completed the online.” So while I waited for the manager to come out, I had to fill out a paper application. Then I sat there for at least 10 minutes after I had completed my application for the manager. Once the manager (who I forgot her name) came out, I noticed as she looked over my application she wasn’t impressed. She started talking to me and asked some questions about my application. She looked at my work experience and it was blank. What sixteen year old would have a list of work experience? I don't know any person who is still in high school have any work experience unless they worked with their parents in a trade. I explained to her that I’ve never had a job before and this is my first interview. She nodded and rolled her eyes like what am I still doing here with her? The whole interview only lasted about 15 minutes and she told me specifically that she’ll call me once they
