The Instructor stepped out; a middle aged woman with dark hair and green eyes. Once she recognized us, she walked over to the car smiling. She wasn’t fooling me, because behind that unassuming exterior lied an expert in all things driver’s test related. The Instructor stepped into the car and smiled at us. She told us the way the test would work. First, the parking test, and then the on-road test.
In the parking test I was the only one in the car. I had to drive forward, then back into a parking spot, and finally parallel park. Both my mom and the Instructor left the car, and my test began. The test was very boring, and it went without any error. Even the dreaded parallel park was defeated with ease. My mom was very excited; she really wanted me to pass my test.
The on-road test was crazy. When I first left the parking lot, I almost turned left on a red light. That is illegal, and would result in an immediate failure. Also, if you haven’t been to Vasser, then you wouldn’t know that the town is a mess of hills and curves. This makes it extremely hard to keep your speed constant in town, to see approaching vehicles while driving and at intersections, and to stay stopped at
