Personal Narrative Essay On Driver's License

Everyone has certain events in their life that they believe marks their passing into adulthood. Some aren’t remembered, like the first steps, first words, or becoming potty trained. Others are in the back of one’s mind, like the first day of highschool, college, or a new job. Even more are personal, like the first kiss, first girl or boyfriend, when one got married. One very recent hurdle I jumped to reach the goal of life was to get my driver’s license, but first I had to pass the dreaded driver’s test.
I had woken up at 7:30 on a Saturday which is tragic on its own, but riding to the town of Vasser I thought that if I could get the coveted license today, it would be worth it. My mother was driving my dad’s black Buick Lacrosse, the

The Instructor stepped out; a middle aged woman with dark hair and green eyes. Once she recognized us, she walked over to the car smiling. She wasn’t fooling me, because behind that unassuming exterior lied an expert in all things driver’s test related. The Instructor stepped into the car and smiled at us. She told us the way the test would work. First, the parking test, and then the on-road test.
In the parking test I was the only one in the car. I had to drive forward, then back into a parking spot, and finally parallel park. Both my mom and the Instructor left the car, and my test began. The test was very boring, and it went without any error. Even the dreaded parallel park was defeated with ease. My mom was very excited; she really wanted me to pass my test.
The on-road test was crazy. When I first left the parking lot, I almost turned left on a red light. That is illegal, and would result in an immediate failure. Also, if you haven’t been to Vasser, then you wouldn’t know that the town is a mess of hills and curves. This makes it extremely hard to keep your speed constant in town, to see approaching vehicles while driving and at intersections, and to stay stopped at

Today I read about “Driver’s ED” when Remy was talking about her crush Morgan, and which she seems to really like. I realized that Lark was not actually the driver’s instructor. I do not know their name so I’m going to call them the driver instructor. I also found out the driver’s ed car was not damaged that much as I thought, Remy hit a road divider and there was no serious damage. “Driver’s ED” is a very confusing book to me but I get some of it.…

Soon enough though, I felt like I was able to drive alone. I had mastered the art of "defensive driving"- it's a shame it took me getting into a minor accident to actually understand it, but I'm glad it was a lesson I actually learned instead of just having it go in through one ear and out the other as it had the first time. I'm now quite confident in my driving abilities, and if I'm not, I take the long way around. Better safe than sorry when it comes to…

As I began to breathe, placing the car into reverse, and slowly backing into the bay. As I am backing up, I felt my anxiety taking the best of me. Continuing the procedures I had learnt at driver’s ed without a doubt, a sense of determination had crossed my mind. I began to focus on what my motive was because the outcomes were to give a good connotation afterwards. Once I placed the cark into park, the instructor says “Good distance, you have passed the parallel parking, we can now proceed to the road test”.…

A little over a week ago, I was getting in my car to drive home following an intense cross country workout. Too caught up in pondering my splits for our three mile time trial and too proud of the effort I had put forth, I had completely forgotten that I had a piano lesson at 5 P.M. immediately following my cross country practice. After turning on my car, I glanced down at the digital clock unaware of my predicament...5:04. I realized that I was in trouble. I was going to be late and have to surrender half of my expensive lesson time.…

Introduction On a particularly dreary Thursday afternoon, I was driving down a well-known street. One that I drive very often in my many travels. As I was driving down the well-worn road, I came up to a stoplight and prepared to make my right turn, as any good civilian driver would. I set my cell phone down and glanced quickly to my left, decided that my way was clear, and proceeded with my turn.…
