Trip to Mexico
Going through the process of getting a passport was a rough time, waiting anxiously for two months until I received it in the mail. Once I received the passport, the day came when I had to start packing. Deciding to pack at the last minute for a three week vacation is never the best idea. Two days before leaving to be exact. Finally the time to meet my family arrived. My grandmother Patricia, my matron’s mother, was also going with me. She was going to get her teeth fixed, because it's a little cheaper in Mexico. The day my parents drove my grandmother and me to Garden City, KS was the day we would be getting on a bus that takes us to El Paso. In El Paso, we would transfer to another bus that would take us to Juarez. After that

In other words I was blessed to meet my relatives. However my grandmother and I got on a bus to head back to Scott. This means home I was glad to hear we are going home. I texted my parents once we got to Liberal KS. In fact my father was very happy, he said him and my mother were on there way to Garden. At this point I was anxious to just get to Garden. Actually I wanted to be in Scott in my bed laying down sleeping. Traveling is a very heavy thing to do, you get home and have to unpack. Unfortunately once I got back I had school two days after. This trip was a very different way of living. Mexico is beautiful but very different. My family is amazing I am blessed to have them. No matter how far they are we will always be close. Therefore I would love to go back and experience more from Mexico, I would love to learn about the heritage more, learn about our family tree. In addition I would love to be with all my family. On the other hand, I would love to be there right now, at the beach laying down relaxing, not worrying about anything. Strangely enough that won't happen for quit a while. Therefore, Mexico is a gorgeous place to go, if you go to the right

As a young armadillo growing up in Texas during the 1820s, my life was peaceful and happy. The Federalists who held power in Mexico left me, my fellow armadillos, and the Anglo Americans alone to enjoy and work the land. However, in 1829, the Centralists gained control of the Mexican government and the freedom we enjoyed gradually eroded. As the Mexican government imposed more regulations on the Anglo Americans, the tension which had existed between the two groups due to the Nacogdoches land grant, become even more palpable.…

One of the first things I remember about going on that trip is looking down at my feet and thinking that I would die if I fell. I was nine and very light-headed at the time. It was the winter of 2009 and one of the first times I had ever gone to Colorado. The drive there took about 6 hours from our house so you can imagine my excitement at finally getting out of the car as an inpatient nine-year-old. We were renting a small two story log cabin with a hot tub on the second- floor balcony from a family that had a winter home somewhere in Florida.…

Since I was born, I have lived in Laredo; throughout, my time here Laredo has grown tremendously along with the community here. Recently I turned eighteen and recalling back all those years is nostalgic, but gratifying at the same time because in those years I have been able to grow along with my family. As mentioned before, I have lived in Laredo my whole life and although the majority may dislike Laredo for their own reasons it has truly been a blessing for my family and I since the day we arrived here. To begin with, my parents moved here before they had even gotten married, solely for the reason of a better future as well as opportunities for themselves and their families.…

I was on a trip to Dodge City for a baseball tournament. It wasn’t a long trip in my mind, most of the baseball players stayed in the same hotel called the Dodge House. It’s a really nice hotel it doesn’t look like on the outside, but wait till you go inside. In the center of the hotel it’s a big open space, it has a half court basketball, has volleyball, it even has arcade games to play, but they cost money to play, it has a weight room, it has a hot tud and a pool with two slides and has a place for seating to have a little party it’s fun I recommend this place if you ever go to Dodge City.…

Jealousy is just another part of everyday life. As shown in Bobbie Ann Mason 's "Being Country", the story just shows that it 's normal to be envious of others and just look at positive things in their lives while ignoring the negative things. For example, when Mason 's family was having dinner, instead of looking at it like a feast because of the plentiful food her family had. Mason looked at it as "fuel for work". Instead of always looking at the positive side, we as humans like to generate an unreasonable conclusion from what 's bad in our lives to what 's good in someone else 's.…
