So, I was playing like I normally did when I saw people playing on the zipline. I had never been on the zipline before but it looked fun. When I was about six years old, my friends who were about 12 or 13 at the time invited me to the baseball field. The one bad part was that to get to the baseball field we had to cross a major road to get there, but at least there was a light. My parents told me I could only go if we were being driven, but I went anyway. It was scary crossing the street, mostly because we did not cross at the crosswalk. We were too lazy to walk down the neighborhood and cross at the light.…

There is nothing that can replace the absence of a parent and one should not attempt to. You must simply hold on and endure it. At first it sounds harsh, but it 's actually comforting, like somehow that absence connects you with that person, that parent. Its wrong to say that God fulfills that emptiness. God more precisely leaves it unfilled to help you remember the authentic relationship, because even though it 's painful, you still have a part of them.…

Like a powerful motorized speed-boat, I swam across the lake to go retrieve my sister after she got thrown off of the inflatable balloon attached to our boat. My arms and legs were burning out of exhaustion, and my mouth could only pick up the taste of the lake’s murky, muddy water. My family and I were headed out to the lake to spend a sunny afternoon together. We rarely have time to see each other since all of us have our own tight, busy schedules, so my dad had the brilliant idea that we should all go to the lake together. As we arrived at the lake, my sister and I grabbed the food and lawn chairs from the truck and went to go look for a spot while my parents got hold of the tent and fishing rods and followed us.…
