Personal Narrative-Defining Moment

“Paige come on! If you don’t hurry up, we will be late, and then you won’t be able to warm up for the softball game!” Mom told me.

“Ok, I’ll be there in a minute.” I replied to mom as I scrambled to find my glasses and two hair ties, and I raced out the door.

I jumped into the car, made two pigtails and in after what felt like 10 hours of 80s rock music, we were finally there. I asked my dad how long it took only my dad replied with a laugh, “It only was a 30 minute drive”

I got my softball bag and bolted past Dad as I got my mitt, and sprinted to the field to warm up.” Go to the dugout, the game’s about to start.” Dad shouted. I was so psyched I could burst.

We were up to bat first and I was on deck. Crack! The ball shot across the field. Then I was up to bat. Crack! “GO TWO GO TWO!” exclaimed Dad.

I ran to shortstop. “You’re pitcher now! Get your helmet!” yelled Dad from the dugout.

The umpire put the ball in the pitcher machine ”Strike” yelled the umpire.

The ball blasted to third base, but the player advanced to second base. We got three people out so I was up to bat again. “Remember just have fun!” Dad shouted.

The umpire put the ball in the pitcher machine Crack! ”Foul ball!” The umpire declared.

Darn, too far to the left!” I thought. Crack! “GO TWO GO TWO!” Dad yelled again.

Faith is a member of my softball team and is right after me, she would probably hit the ball to the outfield. Faith was up to bat. Wack! I darted to third and dashed to home plate.

The last inning ended, and we finally won, by one run too! I got my gear and cheerfully hopped in the car. My favorite part of the softball game was playing pitcher and the feel of the ball hitting my bat. I will never forget the day we finally won a softball

It was the most incredible feeling in the world to run and lay out your full body in the moist grass. It was an even better feeling when you came up with the catch. The most memorable part of the season was playing outfield. I remember the ball flying over my head, I was too arrogant to play back any further. I only had one thought at that moment, and that was to catch the ball.…

While growing up, sports have always been a big part of my life. At the age of only six years old, my parents first signed me up for coach pitch softball. Little did they know that I was going to fall in love with the game and that they were going to have to spend countless hours at softball fields during the spring each year watching me play. Being so young when I first started playing, winning and losing did not matter at all. As long as I got to throw, hit, and catch the ball, I was happy.…

It was getting closer and closer I jumped closed my glove and with great pride opened it up again. The glove was empty I panicked and turned back the ball was at the warning track the runner was making his way towards 3rd base. I turned and ran as fast as my body could, but I was too slow by the time I picked up the ball the runner was already making his way towards home base.…

Our daily wiffle ball game was about to start. There was a wiffle ball game every evening behind the apartment complex I lived in. The game was played in a luscious green grass field with a monstrous hill in left field. The usual squad was myself, Ricky, Justin, Michael, Jonathon, Latrell, and occasionally Greg but his parents usually make him stay inside and play monopoly or some other dumb board game. Our teams were always different from the last game.…
