Personal Narrative: Bounding

Not every termination means everything has ended, perhaps it is the start of a new creation. The day my ending became a new beginning with new people, acquaintances and encounters. This day I flew on an airplane across the country, leaving family and acquaintances behind. Bounding battles that I didn’t know how to face surrounded my life, perhaps because I was 9 years old. Only I know how it felt to leave everything behind nevertheless come to a country without knowing the language or anyone here. “No one else tells stories like you do for not everyone else sees the world like you do”. That week my mother met someone that had the same battles to face as us, she arrived to the states a day after we did, my mother met the women who I now call my aunt. She is generous, patient and possesses a magnificent kind and warm heart. We were together from there on, one night my grandfather told my mother that he didn’t want me and my family in the house anymore. We had no one at all but my mom had that women’s phone number and decided to call her. Neither of us had a car so we walked to her house and lived with her for about 2 years. With all we could we helped each other and faced battles together. This woman is the person that changed my life and inspired me to face so many battles. From all my struggles I raised, she became like a mother to me and helped my mother become a better one. I don’t know what I would do without her. Her inspiration in my life has stayed with me and continues to be with me this day. We are still close to her, she is family and I have known her and her family for 9 years about to be 10 and more to come. I feel delighted, freed, and cherished, when I’m with her and her family I’m a new person. Thanks to this experience I have the ability to help and inspire people the way
