To begin with, if I would want to become president I would have to be at least 35 years old, I would have to be born in the United States, and I would have to have lived in the United States for the past 14 years. The 4th president was a Founding Father who created the first 12 amendments. In 1809 the 4th president of the Unites States of America was James Madison. To become president you need 270 out of 538 electoral votes, which he got. If there was no majority, the House of Representatives would of voted. When voting people put down two choices on their ballot and the person with the second most votes became vice president.
