One dark and stormy night I couldn't sleep. I was thinking to myself, “ I really need some new shoes that aren't so raggedy to wear to school”. Then I rolled over in my bed and saw a famous footwear coupon on my desk and decided that I was going to go in the morning. The next morning I woke up and headed straight to the store skipping breakfast and getting dressed so i would still have time to get on the bus so I wouldn’t be late for school. I hopped on my bike and pedaled down the street in my crocs and pajamas as fast as I could weaving in and out of the traffic. I finally arrived at famous footwear just as they were opening. The manager let me in and i browsed the aisles frantically because school started in 30 minutes. Now I only brought …show more content…
I asked my dad to give me some money because I really wanted those shoes and no one else would give me money. He just said, “ Well son, guess you’re outta luck, i’m not giving you anything”. I knew what I had to do. I waited until my parents were both asleep then I went into their room and took their credit card and called an Uber to take me to the airport. I snuck out as fast as I could before I heard my dad yell, “ CRISPY T YOU GET BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!!!” I ignored him and hopped in the Uber and told the driver to step on it. I got to southwest just as they were boarding and I got a seat next to some old, sweaty guy in the front of the plane. But it didn’t matter, all that mattered to me right now were those white vans. Right when we landed I grabbed a tourist map to find the jungle gift shop. I saw it on the map and had a cab take me there. I finally got to the gift shop covered in dirt and sweat and asked the vendor if he had any white vans. He said, “Of course sir, right this way please”. He gave me a box with the shoe logo on it and I couldn’t breath I was so excited. I opened the box to try them on and there weren’t any vans in it. I asked the man what is this and he showed me that they were keys for a white Chevy mini-van. So I slapped him in the face and got on the plane back home. I cried the whole 3 hour flight thinking about my

My day started waking up extraordinarily early in a splendid five star hotel from an extremely comfortable and pulpy bed complimented with heavenly pillows. This joyful day fills my body with excitement and replays in my mind as if it had happened for the first time. This wasn’t your average birthday present, no not some gift card to GameStop, not some pair of Stephen Curry’s, not even the next Call Of Duty game. The exact moment these words accessed my ears I almost passed out my parents had told me Alex we are going to Queens, New York so you can meet Carmelo Anthony, I was so ecstatic. It felt like it was just yesterday I was packing my bags and filling it with New York Knicks merchandise, I was so immature I even packed my poster of him and his jersey.…

I was only interested in my mother’s shoes. I vividly remember my mother leaving one day for work and me sneaking into her closet to try on her various shoes. She had a small rack full of sandals and heels, all of which I was mesmerized by.…
