I attend a gym anywhere from three-five days a week; resting on the weekends. Back in July, I managed to break my right leg in an ATV accident. This obviously put my fitness goals on an immediate halt. After two months went by, I slowly worked myself back into the gym. This didn’t seem to be a problem, until I reached leg day. I started noticing that I wasn’t as capable of doing certain leg exercises that I was perfectly capable of doing prior to my accident. This inspired me to work out with a personal trainer. In order to do this, I had to meet with not only the owner of the gym, but the trainer in which she thought would be best for me. On September 21st, I sat down in a small office like setting with the owner of the gym and the trainer who I would soon be working out with. The owner seems as if she is in her late forties and the trainer is in her early twenties. The owner of the gym introduced me to the trainer and ensured me that she is the best fit for me. I learned that the trainer has worked side-by-side with physical therapists and has 500 volunteer hours under her belt. Therefore, she has hands on experience with breaks and the recovery process. She herself has dealt with an injury similar to mine, so she knows exactly what it is like to get back into the gym. The owner and the trainer both informed me that I will regain the strength in my right leg shortly. The main problem within the group is working with each other’s schedules; so that I can do the proper exercises to rebuild my strength.
