This person is my boss, Darren Clemente. Mentoring took place when a new job offering came my direction. He proactively informed me another department as interested in my skill set. I thought that was very professional of him to warn me ahead of time. Prior to this conversation, we already had a great working relationship and felt it was a perfect time to tell him how much I enjoyed working for him. After meeting with the other department, I made a decision to stay under his leadership. At this time, I felt forming a business relationship was far more important than an increase in monetary value. The type of assistance Darren provides can be identified as: professionalism, teamwork, coaching, collaboration, support, and …show more content…
My future career vision is to lead people in a way that compels them and gives them the empowerment to fuel their aspirations, both personally and professionally. I enjoy working in team environments that grant individual’s freedom to be creative, while providing support without judgment towards ideas.
Future objectives to accomplish in the next 2 to 3 years would be to seek a fulfilling position that inspires me to use my academic skills by adding value to an organization. I wish to have a focus in business analytics with growth opportunity, which allows me to utilize my leadership skills and experience.
My strategic intent is to exit my comfort zone by challenging my position today, to perform better tomorrow. My stretch objectives are to never settle and continue driving to meet my career targets and objectives. Crafting a strategy is my next stretch goal and I plan to use local networks to drive my performance to the next level. I believe that strategic intent needs mentoring through external support systems. I have plans to utilize my lifelines to execute ideas to meet my vision, values, objectives, and strategic intent.
