Perfect Mate
Tristyn Gavulic 4th In finding a Perfect mate many factors are considered. Physical appearances are one of the foremost of these factors. These are followed by the person’s personality and other expectations. My mother and I were surveyed on these three categories and what we would wish for in a perfect mate. In these categories many stark differences were noticed, but on the other hand so were many similarities. When asked about what kind of physical traits my mother would prefer for me as a perfect mate she was very vague and just suggested that she be “a beautiful woman”. My mother’s included that she must love me, push me to be my best, “give and be given to”, and openness to join our families together. This hints at her wants that the mate have children of her own. Other wise these requirements are all dealing with or relating to the emotional relationship that the spouse has with me and is slightly vague. On the other hand, my wants were that she take responsibility for the cooking, cleaning, decoration, motherly duties, and be my friend. These show my more specific active physical duties and requirements, however they also address my desire for kids, which is a similarity between us. In comparison, there are similarities in our want for kids from the spouse but these end here. The vast differences are that while my mother focuses more on relationships and emotional issues, I deal with physical and practical issues. This shows my desires for physical earthly actions while my mother cares more about her mind and mental upkeep.
In conclusion, the similarities I share with my mom about my perfect mate include that of physical health, tidiness, and, children. However it can be shown that while I prefer physical characteristics and activities of the now, my mother wants her to focus more on mental, emotional, and future
