People Emerging In The New American Era

The author tries to explain the time period of 1620 and how the world developed with people emerging in the new American era. It all began with the Muslim trading systems rapidly increasing from Asia to Africa all the way to Europe. Christians and Muslims formed crusades fighting for holy lands. Iberians launched Reconquista, in an effort to destroy the Muslims. Muslim provincialism dies away leading Portuguese to independence in 1147. Finally in 1492 Spanish freed from morish control over the peninsula. New expansive activity began with the emerging of unified states in France and England. Europeans learnt trading tricks and routes from Muslims and wanted to improve their trade. Later, Italians wanted to get into the monopolies already established in the trade routes so that they can take over the European market. …show more content…
In 1430’s Portuguese took control over islands to open relationship with Songhai Empire and established trading center. Portuguese charged a lot for transport which led England to find a faster and cheaper means to transport goods resulting in the discovery of a new world America by Christopher Columbus. Though there was a negative perspective in the beginning slowly they learnt about the geographical advantage of the land because it helped in increasing the trade between them and other countries. The new world had people living in it already who welcomed the explorers visiting them in hope of increasing trade and friendship.
