For my pedigree project I did tongue rolling. My dad can roll his tongue but my mom on the other hand can’t. In conclusion to my project I figured out that a lot on my dad’s side could roll their tongues, such as almost all my aunts and one uncle. The only ones who couldn’t are my Aunt Rachel and Aunt Becky. On my mom’s side only my Uncle Scott can. I also learned that my brothers and I can all roll our tongues, which is pretty cool. I can use this in the future to figure out one day if my future children can roll their tongues. It all remains with whether or not my future husband will be able too.

There was a possibility one of us couldn’t roll our tongues, but since it was a 50/50 chance we all got the trait. I was heterozygous for this trait because I got the …show more content…
In conclusion to this paper, the struggles with my project would include finding valuable information on this topic. There are scientists nowadays saying it’s all a hoax and that tongue rolling is not genetic. Besides that I enjoyed learning about both my mom and dad’s sides. It surprised me to learn that some of the family members that can roll their tongues can and the ones you can’t, can’t. Overall it was a fun experience to learn about all these traits, but this will always be my favorite
