Robotic arm failures are rare but they do happen which can cause a robotic assisted surgery to become an open surgery. The outcomes or success of a robotic surgery is dependent on the operator to be and for the equipment to be working properly. The lead surgeon is important in making robotic surgeries successful. If that surgeon can find someone to give more insight on surgery and help develop a better strategy, it will maximize the quality of surgeries performed using these methods. When methods become clearer on how to train future surgeons. The trained surgeons will be able to improve the quality of the surgery. The authors noted that prior practice, helps improve greater outcomes of success. The advancements in robotic surgery are improvements such as the miniaturization of robotic arms and table mounted systems.
