Introduction
A Pediatric dentist is directed primarily on the oral health of infants and children. They are focused on having more knowledge of a child’s oral health than other specialties. However, a pediatric dentist in the army reserves is a passion that some people have, it’s not a career for everyone, but it is one to consider.
Taking the proper steps. When taking the steps to become a pediatric dentist it should consist of earning a bachelor's degree, DDS or DMD degree, pass the dental admissions test, complete a postgraduate pediatric dentist residence program, and must pass all parts of the national board dental exam. Pediatric Dentist salary ranges from $105,033-$254,630. However being a pediatric dentist in the army reserves the schooling can be paid for. The army reserves pay for the schooling, the required books, for rental of equipment, and most academic fees.
Army Reserves qualifications.The qualifications for this particular career is having the completion of a five and a half week commissioned officer training course, a residency in pediatric dentistry, and must be between the ages of 18 to 58.
Joining the army reserves. Recruits need to meet with a recruiter, complete all required documents, academic evaluation, physical fitness evaluation, and explore the army careers provided. Basic Combat training. Basic combat training for the army reserves and the regular army are no different. The basic boot camp is a ten week training, which makes civilians into soldiers. There are three phases to this training, the red, the white, and the blue. The red phase of basic combat training. The red phase is where the recruit receives the proper haircut and are given a uniform. This is when those who joined learn about Army heritage and the seven army core values.
