I want to participate in the Pearson Student Advisory Board because it encapsulates everything I hope to gain from my college experience. It will provide me with the opportunity to travel, brainstorm, problem-solving, expand my professional skills, and gain experience in the workforce. I am eager to see how well equipped I am to enter a professional work environment and, as a student, I would love to make a meaningful impact in an area that affects both myself and my peers. I have always loved the world of academia because it involves theory, research, and mental stimulation. However, it is only recently I have realized that I am not just a thinker, I am also a doer. If chosen to serve on the Student Advisory Board I would be given the ability

SAS Institute Inc. has consistently been ranked one of the best places to work over the years. From the short overview I have read about this company, I very much agree with how they have designed their management policies. When there is extra, there is no reason to give employees the bare minimum, and SAS’s success is a clear example of how that philosophy pays off.…

Academic Standards in Colorado Colorado is well known for being the first state to legalize marijuana. It is a hot topic around the United States, however, Colorado was also one of only six states asked to inform the Federal Government on the process of developing new standards in-line with Common Core, another frequently debated issue (Colorado Department of Education, 2016). As someone who has benefitted greatly from the community through the presence of role models that have had a very positive impact on my development, I wish to fulfill that role of a positive influence in the life of someone else.
