Success isn’t given. It's earned. On the track, on the field, in the gym. With blood, sweat, and the occasional tear. Most every athlete loves the game, and is willing to work their butt off, from being on the B team going to the A team, from jv to varsity, from high school to college. They all dream of that college scholarship that they may or not receive. What happens when they get there? They no longer have their mommies and daddies paying for every little thing.

Professionals can be amazing and get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars or they can suck and still get paid as much as the amazing players. The professionals get paid from the money that comes from the fans, the team gear they sell, and video games that the player is in, and it's not just hundreds of dollars its thousands of dollars, so why can’t college copy that. Professional teams can do that, why can't college schools? There's no excuses, they can make as many argument as they want, but sometimes the college make more money than some professional teams and yet there still not paying their athletes. If they are expected to perform at a pro level, then they should be paid at a pro level. Don’t say they need to perform at a high level when you can’t treat them like they're at a high level, by not paying them.
So maybe college athletes should be paid, They are part of the team. The coaches are part of the team and they get paid, why can't you pay the rest of the team. It no big deal paying the coaches but when it comes to the players it become a year long argument. Theses athletes work so hard through blood, sweat, and tears and yet there still not paid. Maybe this is the year to change
