Article, “Paycheck Feminism,” by Kornbluh and Homer, the writers discuss how women 's roles in the work force have changed and how there are social inequalities that still remain. Kornbluh and Homer called this changed the “paycheck feminism”. According to this article, “paycheck feminism” is when a woman becomes the majority of the workforce. As a result, women require more policy support to protect their rights and provide them with more opportunities. Hence, the original policies in the work force were made by the Social Security to protect full-time workers. Although, these policies were made to help men due past historical social demands. “The assumption was that breadwinners (presumed men) had caretakers (women, of course) holding down the home front”. In this article, we see that the author uses the word body, repetitively to outline a symbolism with inequality in a patriarchal society. “This state of conscious and permanent visibility is a sign that the tight, disciplinary control of the body has gotten a hold on the mind as well”. In this quote, I analyzed that the body, therefore, being an object is controlled from all its components as well as their spiritual mind.
