1. New England Patriots: 5-0 (1) Not quite the 50 burger I predicted, but the Patriots still handled business this past week, winning 34-27 over the Colts. Although it was a one score game, the score wasn’t indicative of how much the Patriots dominated the game. Despite, Tom Brady throwing his first interception of the season, he is still by far the MVP through the first six weeks of the season. The Patriots’ are the most complete offensive team in football. They have diversity at the running back position, with the more physical brute running back in Laguarrent Blount. On the other hand they have the more finesse, pass catcher type back in Dion Lewis. This offense has been unstoppable, and like is said last week this team …show more content…
What don’t they have?
2. Cincinnati Bengals: 6-0 (4) The Bengals have proven it to me. They are the second best team in the NFL. This game was supposed to be the dud game for the Bengals. The game that looks easy on paper, but in reality, the team was supposed to under perform. But what happened? The exact opposite! Andy Dalton and the Bengals handled business, winning their sixth game in a row, 34-21 over the Bills. Despite, A.J Green and Tyler Eifert being held in check, the offense came through, showing just how deep this team is. Marvin Jones is the teams’ fifth target, behind Green, Eifert, Giovanni Bernard, and Jeremy Hill. On any other team Jones would be a solid number three or two option. On defense the Bengals continue to dominate. They are sixth in the league in total sacks. The biggest stand out stat to me is the fact that they lead the NFL in starting field position, something that translates well to playoff success.

Martavis Bryant made an explosive return, finishing with six catches, 137 yards, and two touchdowns. In 12 career games, Byrant has 11 touchdowns. The dynamic aspect he brings to the Steelers’ offense is something that cannot be measured. In the absence of Ben Roethlisberger the team has managed to win two of their three games. I said it four weeks ago, if the Steelers could float around .500 until the return of Big Ben, the Steelers would be fine. Without Roethlisbger this team is a solid playoff team, with him? A Super Bowl contender.
6. Carolina Panthers: 5-0 (13) Despite being one of five undefeated teams, this is the first week the Panthers find themselves in the power ten. Before this past weekend, I was waiting for them to prove to me that they belonged among the elite teams, well after a come from behind win against the two time defending NFC champs, they definitely have proven themselves. They continue to find ways to win games, despite having a limited number of weapons on offense. The fact that this team is 5-0 is a testament to just how good Cam Newton is at quarterback. The return of Luke Keukeckly the past few weeks has only bolstered this all ready outstanding defense. They currently are tied for lead in turnover differential with a plus six
