Registered nurses can work in more than one place, actually they work in all kinds of places. They could work in many different places such as hospitals, physicians office, home health care services, and correctional facilities, schools, or even serve in the military. In all of those places registered nurses need to be focused, active, and willing to help their patients. Registered nurses need to deliver a “patient-focused care”. A “patient-focus care” means exactly as it says, nurses focus as much as they can on a patient so that they can give them the best care and the proper care that is needed. Nurses need to work with their patients to figure out the best care plan that is possible. Also a nurse needs to listen to their patients for all sorts of reasons. A patient could have certain things they want looked at, or certain conditions that the nurse needs to know. For example a patient could be allergic to a specific medicine, have health conditions, or maybe the patient has their own treatment plans or ideas. You go into nursing world with hopefully very known skills, and you never stop learning skills. So as you go into nursing you have skills and when you leave, you know a ton of new skills, a nurses skills stay with them for life. As you learn more skills they can take you many places. Nursing isn’t limited to only hospitals. Nursing school isn’t easy at all but it makes you as prepared as you can be in real-life situations. Even though nursing school prepares you , you are never really completely prepared for real-life problems. Being a registered nurse isn’t about the money. If you were planning to go into nursing to be rich, you might want to check into that again. Throughout your nursing career you will get attached to certain patients. When you get attached to certain patients you might have to say goodbye. You have to know the right time for when you have to say bye to the patient and when it’s time for their families to say bye.
