When some parents begin to realize that the court will most often favor shared parenting and mandated frequent/regular contact with both parents (with some exceptions, of course) a gatekeeper parent will do whatever it takes to keep their child or children from their other parent. This will often include making false allegations to the court regarding the other parent’s behavior. False allegations made by gatekeeping parents in the middle of divorce in AZ with children often include alleged neglect of the child or children, abduction, domestic violence, drug or alcohol use/addiction, etc.
In other situations, the parental gatekeeping will rear its ugly head even after the court orders have been issued. In most cases, the malicious gatekeeper will not respect the Court orders and will, in fact, violate the orders regularly. They do so with the thought that the other parent will not be able to enforce the orders.
