The paranormal have become a hot topic among people, among the young and heated debates are right on their way. Those paranormal things such subjects as alternative medicine; conspiracy theories; ghosts, the undead, and the paranormal, UFO’s and alien abductions; urban legends; and psychic abilities. However, those paranormal are no any scientific merit to prove it is true, but it is the key to open human’s new sense, and let human to image it and fantasy. Nowadays, vampires are very popular, in movies and TV shows. And people love in watch it, even the people who don’t even believe in vampire. Because they are cool and it’s new sense to all of us, is vampire really existed in our life? Richard Wesp from East Stroudsburg University and his partner Kathleen Montgomery, they had wrote a article about the developing critical thinking through the study of paranormal phenomena. They had a course titled An Experimental Investigation of Paranormal Psychology, the student learned to design and conduct research on topics in the realm of the paranormal. According to the article “Developing Critical Thinking Through the Study of Paranormal Phenomena” the author supports that paranormal thinking could help student improve their mind and thinking skill. “Within that course, one could not overlook the many opportunities to question the validity of claims about paranormal events. The reasoning flaws in popular accounts of paranormal events were very accessible to students, and students were excited about studying the topics. Because students better acquire thinking skills and generalize those skills to novel concepts when they actively evaluate issues within the context of courses (P. Gray, 1993; Halonen, 1985), a course on paranormal phenomena appeared to be an ideal medium for encouraging development of critical thinking. We broadened the scope of our course to include an analysis of the soundness of claims about the paranormal.
