Paranoia Case Summary

The patient is a 31 year old male who presented to the ED with increase paranoia and increased drug usage. At the time of assessment, patient was found sleeping. He was able to wake and become oriented, but remained drowsy throughout the assessment. Patient presented with agitation and expressed interest in returning to detox treatment facility. The patient admits withdrawal symptoms of nausea, vomiting, tremors, and agitation later on during the afternoon 10/7/15.The patient reports his last used opiates, Cocaine, and ETOH was 10/7/15 before he came into the ED. Drug use was confirmed by most recent drug screening. The patient reports that he has a history of SA and inpatient treatment since the age of 13, which has caused him distress throughout
