Palms West is searching for a CT Technologist to work Per Diem hours. A CT Technologist works in the imaging department of the hospital. A CT Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnoses of patients. CT Techs perform duties by applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology and to track the progress in treatment of known diseases. This job opening is for a part time position working days 7am-7pm at Palms West in Loxahatchee, Fl. At Palms West Paramedics are responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients under the supervision and direction of nurses and physicians. Paramedics care for the sick patients in emergency medical settings. Paramedics are responsible for a number of tasks including drawing blood, starting IVs, performing EKGs, etc. The paramedic must be familiar with medical terminology and be willing to help with all sorts of medical emergencies (Palmswesthospital.com, n.d.). The working conditions of a paramedic can be physically strenuous and stressful often times involving critical life or death situations. Paramedics are required to do a considerable amount of kneeling, bending and heavy lifting. The Hazards for working as a paramedic include: exposure to contagious and infections diseases, periods of intense stress and hostile patients (Bls.gov, n.d.). For this job, candidates must have graduated from an accredited Paramedic program and have a Florida Paramedic License. BLS, ACLS, and PALs certifications are also required for this job.
