Cantigny Reading over the local historical places to visit my eyes gleamed with 8th grade memories when I ran across Cantigny. I had fond memories of Cantigny with my 8th grade friends as we eagerly climbed on the tanks to take pictures as well as when we went through the tours. Though, I couldn’t recall the significance of the place. Of course, this visit was to be connected with history somehow, but to me Cantigny was just tanks. So this summer I headed down with one of my good friends on one of the hottest days of this summer, and we both walked in with not much expectation for anything informational.…

They were basket-makers and hunter-gatherers who eventually migrated across the entire Colorado Plateau, including Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and southwestern Colorado. Around the first millennium BC, the domestication of corn, beans, and squash reached the Southwest region. When reading Paley’s Natural ural Theology Darwin believed that his work gave much delight as did the work of Euclid (Young, 1985 p. 30). Paley applied rigorous logic and a broad knowledge of philosophy to a wide range of contemporary scientific data in order to attempt nothing less than the final proof of the nature of God (Thomson, 2005 p. 5). This was particularly aimed and intended to bridge two completely different parts (science and religion) that had been long threatening to pull apart (Thomson, 2005 p. 5). It would resolve the conflict we find still unresolved to this day between, on the one hand, the world of scientific explanation, expressed in definable, measurable, physical properties and natural laws and, on the other, belief in…
