As stated above there is no limit to the number of AET’s and AMT’s that can be selected for the program. Currently there are 24 PM-A positions and out of those 24, 16 are being held by AMT’s leaving a shortage of AMT’s actually working on aircraft. These Chiefs have daily interaction with their members and know which mechanics have the leadership, judgment, and professional knowledge needed for the PM-A program's needs.
