Overall, I believe my experiences, interests and goals align well with the PLFSOM mission. Primarily, in my four years of medical school I hope to receive and excellent education that will prepare me for a career as a physician, which I believe I would receive this at the PLFSOM. However, as well as medical education I hope to have access to diverse opportunities to expand my interests and develop as a physician and in other ways. I believe these types of opportunities would be available to me at the PLFSOM and in El Paso in general. The experience I had earlier in college doing bench research and my current work doing human research have increased my interest in pursuing research in the future.
