Above all things, I can definitely say that I have always put forth the most effort into my life. Whether that is participating in school or engaging in friendships. I believe that the impact that my teenage years has only pushed me even more to strive for the best possible life. I will always appreciate the obstacles that allowed me to grow into the person that I am today, but more importantly my parents. Regardless of the impact that their divorce had on me and my brother, it showed us how to be strong for one another and ourselves. Although eventually apart and reacquainted with other people, they have continuously guided us toward the path of success and I will be forever thankful for that. Along with the appreciation that I have for my parents, I could never forget the impact that the staff from Baptist Hospital had on my life. I went through a very discouraging time when I found out that I needed to have a surgical brain procedure in order to ensure my heart was still beating five years from that moment. The tumor, although benign, was impacting my speech, ability to think mathematically, and inability to overcome random seizures. The tumor was bigger than a golf ball and creating issues inside my brain. The staff at Baptist was so kind and welcoming that enduring such a hard time seemed almost bearable. Although I have not become financially stable enough
