My research topic, “Overcoming Heartbreak,” I feel, will be challenging to write. Mainly, due to my struggle in finding factual data for my research. In visiting the Bethel Library “Articles” section, I searched EBSCO and did not find material that was specific to my topic. In hopes of broadening my learning, I referenced the “YouTube “videos on how to use EBSCO, which I found to be helpful. Sadly, I still felt I did not have a variety of sources. Someone can be heartbroken over the loss of a spouse, a child, or a family member. Loss of a beloved, family pet can cause great grief as well. Not all heartbreak is a result from loss of life, even though it may feel like you are dying. When a marriage ends in divorce or a couple decides to end their relationship, the heartbreak is still real. I could continue to elaborate on topics. It will be beneficial to narrow my topic to a more specific rather than a general idea and begin to research defined features (VanderMey, 2012). To do this, I believe, will require entering different key words in the “Search” section of EBSCO. Specific key terms such as: “intimacy, love, social dating and interpersonal relationships,” provided additional information on my general topic. I plan to use EBSCO journal articles, EBSCO eBooks for most of my research. I have already began bookmarking sources to
