Most people have character traits to help them overcome adversity. They’re why some people are so successful. Here are some examples of those traits...

F.D.R, our 32nd president, faced more adversity than many people may think. Ever since childhood, he had polio. He was practically confined to his self-built wheelchair. In adulthood, he had a prosthetic leg brace. He liked having his photos taken while he was standing up straight, meaning he had to lock his heavy leg braces. Because his legs weren’t very useful, he had many accessibility features on the things he used. In his car, instead of using the pedals, he used a throttle-like thing, somewhat similar to the ones in airplanes. Even in all of this adversity, he still managed to keep his charm to the public. One of his biggest traits is that he was amiable.

When she used to go to a certain gym, the people would tease her in a racist manner. Eventually, she left that gym, and continued on with her life. G.D trained very hard, to make sure that she could do the best gymnastics she could do. It wasn’t easy at all. It took hundreds or thousands of hours, which was also and adversity.
