Adversity challenges everyone at some point in their life, but the challenge doesn’t matter; how someone overcomes it does. Because almost every normal person faces something they have to deal with, it brings out things they don’t usually face without an adversity. In many cases adversity makes people stronger. Although, in some cases people push themselves too far, like lifting weights. To see a result pushing your comfort level is mandatory, but if you push too far you’ll injure yourself and you won’t be able to work out until you heal. However, adversity is impossible to avoid, so being optimistic about adversity and accepting all that it can help will lower your frustration when you can’t do something at first. Coal has to be put under pressure to become a diamond. Without pressure, it would just be coal. Like coal, adversity makes us stronger, or it kills us. Adversity indeed makes us stronger, but sometimes they come at unexpected times when there’s no time to take the time to overcome them. Practicing possible adversities before they appear help many professionals in their career. People like doctors don’t get the …show more content…
It rather shows it. Our character is determined by many things and is usually fully developed when we’re younger. Therefore things like school, family, sports, and any other social interactions we come in contact with truly shapes our character. The adversities we face simply gives us the opportunity to deal with it. We can simply run and hide from our struggles, or we can stand up and face them. Who I am is already defined, when I was faced with the realization that I was supposed to fail the second grade, it didn’t change who I was, it simply made me work harder. This did give me a new outlook on life, that if I wanted something, I had to work for it because not everything comes naturally. Adversity gives us opportunities to show our character, not define
