The main function of the ovaries is to release female hormones, regulate the menstrual cycle and pregnancy, and support the development of secondary female characteristics, secondary characteristics are difference in size between genders. This system is most affected and not treated because it has little to no symptoms, and if there are any, they are often - by doctors and women - not recognized, or dismissed as normal things or complaining.
