Many people are misunderstood, taken for granted and judged by appearance and should never be known by that. In Just Another Hero the theme of the novel is to not judge a book by its cover. Bullying, accusations, and the teachers all lead up to big events in the story that will take place. Osrick, the teen bullied in the story is a good example of not talking about a person without knowing them. Judging a person by their appearance gives you the wrong impression of them. Osrick, a boy that has been getting bullied at cincinnati, Ohio. Osrick had been taken advantage of throughout most of his childhood and in high school. He is misjudged and treated wrongly, as he is held upside down naked while being recorded next to a school swimming pool. A girl named Arielle had seen the bullying, and Osrick made her promise to not tell anyone saying, “Please, promise you won’t tell anybody!” (Osrick 4). While she thought Osrick had an attitude she blamed him for her phone being stolen. Meanwhile a girl named November who just had a baby by a guy who passed away, returned to school.
