He operated a factory in which Jews “worked” for him and did many deeds when it came to saving the Jews. Schindler’s factory, known as Emalia, is where the lives of numerous Jews stayed during WWII. Inside the factory, no Jews were hit, murdered, or sent to death camps; however, conditions weren’t as comfortable as believed so (Bülow). This reveals how the Jews lived in the factory and how they were truly treated a bit better than they would have been in concentration camps. He allowed them to spend the night at the factory in March 1943 when the liquidation of Krakow ghetto was happening (Oskar Schindler). This shows how he had trust to allow them to stay in his factory, even though he was a German and most Germans did not associate with Jews. There were multiple survivors who lived to tell their side of the story of the heroic actions of Schindler, Leon Leyson. One of the youngest survivor from Schindler, says Schindler made sure he received double the proportion of food and let him know that his life was valuable even though he was at a very young age (The Boy Saved). This survivor will always thank Schindler for everything he did for him and letting him survive the horrible experience of the Holocaust.
