Organelle Failure

Nucleus:

The nucleus of a cell is, without doubt, one of the most important parts of the cell. The nucleus instructs every single part of the cell what to do, and what the different organelles need to do. The nucleus includes chromatin (protein and DNA). It also contains Nucleolus (nucleoli is plural). These nucleoli are responsible for ribosome production. If the nucleus were to suddenly malfunction, this would mean that the cell would have no directions, and nothing to direct them, so all activity would completely stop.

Cell Membrane:

The cell membrane is the organelle in the cell which determines what can come in and out of the cell. The cell membrane itself is a double layer of phospholipids, and this appears

Every cell in the body has a nucleus. The nucleus is the largest organelle and is contained within a membrane. The nucleus contains the body’s genetic material, which directs the activities, like the brain of the cell. This is built from DNA and proteins called histones coiled together forming a fine network of threads called chromatin. When under the microscope the most prominent part of the cell is the nucleus.…

Organelles work together to maintain a cell's internal process and functions by providing the necessary needs for the cell. Although this mainly applies to Eukaryotic cells, this can also apply to Prokaryotic cells. Prokaryotic cells perform some of these function, but in a simpler way. Organelles work together to protect the cell, provide energy, repair the cell, direct the cell, and clean up the cell. First, organelles work together to protect the cell.…

Prokaryotes are single cell organisms that do not have organelles or any internal membrane-bound structures, due to that they do not have a nucleus however they instead have a single chromosome. Unlike prokaryotes, eukaryotes have nucleus which are surrounded by a membrane and its DNA is bound together by proteins into chromosomes.…

Mitochondrion are made of two membranes. The outer membrane covers the organelle and acts as a layer of skin, whereas the inner membrane constantly folds over and creates layered structures called Cristae (The constant folding increases the surface area of the organelle). And the fluid inside the organelle is called the matrix. The matrix carry the specific DNA and ribosomes for the mitochondria, because the organelle carries its own DNA. Site of aerobic respiration and provides energy (ATP) to other organelles…

The nucleus is in the center of all eukaryotic cells and is a very important part. The function of the nucleus is to be the control center of the cell and contains most of the cells DNA. Chromatin and chromosomes are also contained within the nucleus. The nucleolus is a small, dense region that is located at the center of the nucleus. The nucleolus' function is to make ribosomes, "the beginning".…

Plant cells are eukaryotic cells, or cells with a membrane-bound nucleus. Unlike prokaryotic cells, the DNA in a plant cell is housed within the nucleus. In addition to having a nucleus, plant cells also contain other membrane-bound organelles, or tiny cellular structures, that carry out specific functions necessary for normal cellular operation. Organelles have a wide range of responsibilities that include everything from producing hormones and enzymes to providing energy for a plant cell.…

The Cell Membrane is one of the most important parts of the cell. If not for the cell membrane it would be extremely easy for things to invade the cell; this is because on of the cell membranes job is to control what come in and out of the cell (i.e. ions, viruses, etc). Also the cell membrane is what helps hold the cell and all of its organelles Endoplasmic Reticulum (AKA the ER), smooth and rough whats the difference? The smooth ER does not have any ribosomes while the rough ER is covered in the protein producing ribosomes. Because of this the smooth ER does not produce proteins while the rough ER does produce the previously mentioned proteins.…

Animal and plant cells not only have functional differences but also have structural differences. Plant and animal cells both have a nucleus which is the control centre of the cell, it controls how the cell develops and how it reproduces. DNA is the genetic makeup of a cell, organ and body systems, the DNA in a cell is held and organised into discrete chromosomes by the nucleus.…

The nucleus has many different parts within its structure, in which enables it to operate. Within its structure it contains chromosomes, DNA, proteins, chromatin, nuclear membrane, . The nuclear membrane is a thin layer that surrounds the nucleus and it has pores to allow materials to enter in and out of the organelle. This part of the nucleus helps it to function because it allows the nucleus to allow important materials such as proteins, in and out of the organelle. The chromosomes are made up of DNA.…

In the prokaryote cell, all the components of the cell are in the cytoplasm because they do not have a cell nucleus but in the eukaryote cell, the materials in the cell nucleus are separated from the cytoplasm. It is dominated mainly of water, but there are some enzymes like protein salts, organelles (mitochondria, Golgi apparatus and so on) and various organic molecules. The cytoplasm helps in the movements of materials and chemicals around the cell and also eliminates waste in the cell also in the cytoplasm, metabolism and cell division occurs which keeps the cell regulated and…
