In the story in order to let the citizens more rely on governments’ protect the government creates a tense atmosphere to make citizens feel they are in war time period. The government also uses even more extreme methods of control. They changed big brothers predictions and destroyed all the evidences such as newspaper, they lying about production data’s and they might not even produce any.
