As an online learner, aiming to be a professional Psychologist (ideally with vulnerable young people), I have learnt that it is still possible to interact with other colleagues and be able to discuss our ambitions, goals and experiences. I’ll be completely honest at the start of this week 1 I was very unsure about online learning it was all very new and scary to me. I’m not the very best with computers to top it off however I know all the basics but that didn’t really help with my struggle to understand how it all worked, even going through the Swinburne websites over and over at the beginning it was still daunting and unknown waters, I was contemplating moving to a course that is face to face. Metzger’s criteria I believe is easy to follow and understand, makes a lot of sense. There would be nothing worse than gathering information for a assignment or just for self knowledge and not having a checklist like Metzger’s and documenting or expressing information that you didn’t realise was not factual and was based on other peoples opinions, that is one of the main reasons I will be using Metzger’s criteria and check list regularly.
As I previously said my ideal job would be a Psychologist for vulnerable young people, this one advertised job caught my eye in week one , it was for a psychologist for vulnerable young people over the school holidays the main criteria they were looking for to be successful in this position

I Think that online learning can benefit more people then I originally thought, and I see a lot of advantages within online learning, the only issue I think people could face is not having self discipline therefore not allocating specific time for your studies. I am excited for what else online learning has to
