One Perception Check Again-Personal Narrative Analysis

One Perception Check Later A light rain comes to a stop as I walk up the slick driveway of my friend Aaron’s house. I push on the white, waterlogged, wooden fence gate to the backyard and stand just thirty feet from the open garage door. The backyard consists of two halves: the concrete path with a hutch housing rabbits and a grass yard with a brown, stone fire pit. A constant air of music plays from the wind chimes that hang from a vine-covered terrace separating the two areas. We take the concrete path to the large, rectangular threshold of the garage. And there, in that garage, is where the magic happens. As the six of us put down our various backpacks and brown, paper grocery bags our weekly game of Pathfinder is about to come to a start. …show more content…
Massey, at the head of the table, has set up his Dungeon Master screen which consists of three black plastic panels with plastic pockets. Beyond that, his books and dice are hidden so our characters may not know their fates. To his right sits Diego who brings along with him a leather-bound notebook with an atlas of Earth illustrated across it. He uses a single set of stone gray dice with a bright red numbering. To Diego’s right is Aaron. He places on his lap a green binder that holds his character sheet and loose-leaf paper. In front of him is one of the black, wooden dice boxes that I had crafted for the group. He uses an array of dice but his main ones are a translucent green with white numbers. To Massey’s left is Preston who brings with him multiple small, black notebooks stacked on top of each other. He also has his black dice box with sets of white, frosted glass dice with white numbering. And to his left is Joseph who has his dice box as well as a metal lunch box with an etching of Return of the Jedi on it. Inside the lunchbox are his pencils and sets of dice—his most used being black with neon green numbers. Finally, there’s me. I sit opposite of Massey and bring along an iPad with a brown, faux leather, tome-like case to quickly look up any spells I may use. I have a large, black, spiral-bound notebook to take notes in and a hefty pool of different dice, my most used being purple with gold numbers. And then, following a short summary of the last week, we start our

Not only does this show dimension, but it also shows the perspective of the artist. A principle used is movement; for this artwork the movement goes from the bottom left of the canvas where the chairs and tables are made bigger to seem like they’re closer to the viewer. It then moves along with the way the tables are set: along the side of the walls towards the back of the room on the right (up the left side of the canvas) then across the back (from left to right at the top of the canvas) and lastly, down the right wall with more tables. In the center of the room is the billiard table, and to keep it from intruding the movement, a large space is left between the tables and the billiard tables. Another principle…

As citizens, you may hear yourself say “ do the police have anything better to do”? I myself have caught myself saying those exact words when I witnessed a patrol officer parked on the side of the street with a radar gun. Managing police patrol time is an important police practice. Police Officers spend a lot of their time doing duties that are uncommitted. During this time Police Officers usually pass time by self-initiation, and they usually lack supervisors directives.…

My creative side is not expressed artistically such as drawings, paintings and sculptures, however, I can express myself through innovative thinking and problem solving. For instance, just recently, my parents planned a family trip during thanksgiving break to Cancun, Mexico. It was great news, but I wanted to share this amazing experience with someone I really cared about. Straight away it was a difficult thing to ask of my parents to invite my best friend, therefore I needed an immense approach to convince my parents. At the present time I was clueless on what I was going to plan out, but I knew I needed a confirmation ahead of time of whether I could or couldn't take her with me.…
