At the beginning of time there was only one living species. What was that one species? It was squirrels. Now squirrels covered the land masses that covered the earth, but only in one certain spot of land could a certain species of squirrels survive. The one species were of the color white. As white as the snow. That one spot that they could survive was known Olney. Olney was located one hundred or so miles south of the southern tip of Lake Michigan.
Now in Olney there weren’t only white squirrels, all other species also lived there, but Olney was the only place where white squirrels can live. His vision for a deer was simple. Deer were tall with long legs, a brown fur coat with a white layer under the brown, and antlers. The squirrel walked outside his tree, gazed at the horizon, and said,” Time to get to work.” First thing was getting a lot more size. In order to that he would have to eat a lot along with running just as much. When he wasn’t eating he was running and when he wasn’t running he was eating. This is what he did for a year straight. The Whitetail Deer needed antlers because he was a male. He decided males have antlers and females do not. For antlers he knocked his tree which was previously his home because he could no longer fit in it. He carved his antlers for nearly a month. Each side had to be identical to the other, but once the were down they were beautiful, smooth, and perfect. The only thing left to be done was get them in his head. So he prayed to the gods above. Begging them to make him the first of a completely new species. As if they had appeared from the air itself, the lights heaved him into the sky for the whole world to see. In that instance his antlers were permanently put on his head. After all the gods can do amazing things. Once the gods had brought him back down the surface another deer was also there.
