I have chosen Oklahoma Baptist University as my university and chief financial officer as my career. A chief financial officer, commonly seen as CFO, is responsible for monitoring and working to improve the financial status of a business. They are also responsible for record-keeping, financial reporting to higher management, and financial planning. A CFO typically reports to a board of directors and the chief executive officer, commonly seen as COO. Usually with most corporations, a CFO will assist a COO and reports on all tactical and strategic matters that pertain to cost budget analysis. Education widely differs for CFO's. I am now going to talk about all the different avenues that an MBA can make available to the people that obtain one. Graduates that possess an MBA are in high demand in many job fields. Some of them include Project Finance, Investment Management, Private Banking, Hedge Fund Management, and Real Estate. The salary for a CFO is diversified. Factors for pay include: location, work experience, licensing, and the corporation itself. I chose Dallas, Texas as an example place to base the following figures on. Salary for a CFO with a Masters in Business Administration ranges between $81,307.00 - $223,928.00. Bonuses range from $206.08 - $86,718.00. Bonuses very corporation to corporation. Profit sharing varies between $0.50 - $48,479.00. So in essence, the total pay for a CFO in Dallas, Texas that possess a Masters in Business Administration is between $81,217.00 - $292,596.00. I am now going to talk about the university that I have chosen, Oklahoma Baptist University.
