When you are an off duty officer there are a lot of rules and regulations. When they are off duty they would have to think twice before doing anything because they are off duty so they do not have it easy to just arrest someone, they would have to have a really good reason to. The reason cannot include the officer himself “When off-duty officers act for purely personal motivations, court have held that they are not acting as law enforcement.” (‘Aele’). If the case is arguable and not personal than off duty officer may be found to have acted under a racial arrest.
