Odysseus and Beowulf, two historical heroes one from greek mythology, the other from norse mythology. Both men share many traits that heroes are known to posses such as bravery, intelligence, and physical strength. They both complete the hero’s cycle and their stories have some similarities . These two heroes are equal in many ways, however they are not the same. In Beowulf’s case he fits more the stereotype of a hero than Odysseus. Beowulf always fights with his physical strength, and he goes looking for battles.
