Odysseus Is A Good Role Model

Odysseus was a legendary Greek king of Ithaca and the hero of the epic poem “The Odyssey”.
Odysseus was known for his brilliance, guile, versatility, and intelligence. The Odyssey is an epic that describes Odysseus’ travels that lasted ten years which he tries to return home after the Trojan War and take his place back as the rightful king of Ithaca. This epic poem was written towards the end of the 8th century BCE, but is known still today. The fact that this was written so long ago and is still discussed and known today shows that the character, Odysseus sets good examples that we can admire all the way up in our current times. One reason that makes Odysseus a good role model is, the way he faces many challenges and uses his own strengths and talents to overcome problems. Odysseus was brave, smart and determined.

Which is something we should strive to do today. Odysseus was extremely loyal and would make sacrifices to benefit others. Odysseus is a hero he used his knowledge to help others and discover who his true friends were. I think young people today would admire Odysseus just as much as people in the 8th century admired him. I think young people would admire Odysseus today because, Odysseus was very strong willed and a lot of young people today strive to be strong
