At the crack of dawn, I wake up, trying to be as quiet as possible, intensely rummage through the refrigerator. While the sun taunts me with a beautiful spectrum of crisp orange and bright pinks creeping over the horizon, I hurry to leave my grandmother’s beach house and head over to the serene beach. On my way toward the water, dogs are seen in the distance playing in the cool sand and sticking their paws in the salty water. In addition, from laying their eggs in the sand, are long sand trails from horseshoe crabs. Finally reaching the water, I sit down and observe the sun as it slowly creeps over the horizon until the many vibrant pinks and luminous orange rays turn into a solid golden beam of sunlight.
