A question that I asked was why a client had wanted and was really excited to have me paint her nails, then got really upset when I started to do it. After I asked this question to my supervisor I was told about all of the different happenings that were worrying her and that she just wanted to have one on one not nesaisarly for that reason (nail painting) but for company. I was confused until I found out about her medical history/background and how she was raised. Although I cannot share that information, it did however make me understand that sometimes the context/ environment someone is in can truly effect how an activity can be functional or even dysfunctional in a person’s therapeutic intervention.
