Last week I interview a women name, Kimberly Drape. Kimberly works with another Therapist at Health concepts in one of their companies I currently work day is Morgan Health Center. There’s much to be said. In my interview, I found that we share many interesting qualities skills abilities. We chose this career path because we want to make a difference in people’s lives and hopefully change the world. To work in a health care settings is you must be a people’s person since you are constantly dealing with parents and adults. Prepare yourself for anything. Based on your degree you can choose where you require to go such as schools, Nursing homes, hospitals, open your own private practice and work in home health cares. For an occupational therapist, the salary ranges from 30,000-70,000 and increase based on your instruction. Working in this field you must be professional and appropriate attire. On a typical day for the person, I interviewed Kimberly Drape must complete projects and schedules for patients and therapists, review insurances, analyze financially, computer screen, evaluation, and treatments, communicate with other departments regarding patient outcomes and discharging planning, interviewing and terminate employees, audit charts and provide training and feedback. For Kimberly to become a therapist, she must acquire her master degree and go through a 9-month fellowship. To be successful at this job you must be detail oriented, Felix Abel, communicative and able to multitask. These skills must be acquired and mastered and not having these skills you will likely be overwhelmed and fall behind. The role of the job she finds most gratifying is seeing her patient thrive and fit her goals, and return home in better condition. At the end of the day, that’s her goal.
