The administration is under the Department of Labor and provides guidelines in this department. The main purpose of OSHA is to provide guidelines for employers on how to provide secure and healthy working environments for their employees. OSHA works by creating laws and regulations that all employers are expected to comply with, when it comes to working conditions. These laws and regulations are publicly available and it is up to individual employers to find out the regulations that are applicable to their premises and implement them accordingly. OSHA also provides training to employers and employees on how to create and maintain safe working environments. Usually, some employers are recruited into OSHA training programs and acquire knowledge on how to implement the set regulations. OSHA also comes to the assistance of employees who may have been injured in the work environment and punishes employers who do not comply with the set
